Kipp Dawson worked as a public school teacher for 22 years and helped to lead the Education Justice movement in Pennsylvania and nationally. She advocated for racial justice, culturally responsive curricula, fully funded schools, and district policies to support the most marginalized students. Dawson fought and won victories against school closures, school push-out, the school-to-prison pipeline, segregated gifted education, and the overuse of high stakes testing.
